We are hiring! AtkinsRéalis is seeking an energetic and highly motivated self-starter to join our Coastal Engineering Group as a Coastal Project Manager in one of our Texas or Florida offices (Houston, Tallahassee, Tampa, Sarasota, Melbourne, or Jacksonville). The position may be filled at the Mid-level or Senior career level candidates.
The Coastal Project Manager supports our coastal group with project management, business development, and technical execution of coastal projects. This position has tremendous growth and career development potential. The candidate will have the opportunity to manage on a variety of coastal engineering projects with a concentration in beach nourishment, coastal structures and inlet and navigation studies, all of which may involve feasibility analyses, engineering designs and analyses, limited numerical modelling, report preparation, permitting, and construction engineering services.

How will you contribute to the team?
- Provide management, leadership, and technical oversight on coastal engineering projects.
- Manage the technical aspects of projects by serving as technical lead and applying advanced concepts and techniques to complex engineering problems.
- Prepare project scopes, cost estimates, schedules, and budgets.
- Manage the financial aspects of projects to ensure the project is completed based on the agreed upon scope, schedule, and budget.
- Establish and manage client relationships and participate in marketing and contractual efforts.
- Support the growth of our Coastal Group.
- Maintain quality standards and quality control.
- Manage and mentor junior staff and technical personnel.
- Be actively engaged, preferably at a leadership level, in appropriate professional/technical organizations.
What will you contribute?
- Minimum 8 to 15 years of experience with coastal, marine, and dredging projects with an understanding of coastal environmental issues.
- M.S. or PhD degree in coastal, ocean or civil engineering preferred.
- P.E. license or ability to obtain is desirable.
- Experience with inlet maintenance, sand bypassing and port and harbor engineering a plus.
- Knowledge of Florida coastal permitting preferred. We also have an alternate position available for a Florida coastal permitting specialist.
- Excellent interpersonal, technical writing and communications skills with a proven track record in successful project management and execution of all phases of coastal engineering/restoration projects including, planning, design, permitting, construction, and monitoring.
- Understanding of client relationships and project funding mechanisms, policies, and local approval desired.
