Atkins, a member of SNC Lavalin group, is currently looking for a degree qualified Construction/Site Manger with over 15 years’ experience. The candidate will manage the construction activities in desalination plant in KSA- NEOM. The Site Manager must be forward thinking and experienced in running a large, multi-disciplined site team.

Reporting to the project director, and responsible for managing all Owner Engineer (OE) activities on site in relation to the project and leading all site related correspondence with both the owner and the EPC contractors.

To manage and implement all aspects of the quality / HSE management systems and control site supervision service provision for continual performance improvement and completion of project functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading and supervising the OE Project construction activities and site team projects in accordance with the client’s requirements.

  • Managing key stakeholder interfaces which will include all departments within the client and EPC organisation.

  • Interface and communication with the company's business units,

  • Supervise and ensure that the EPC Contractor executes all construction work in accordance with the contract requirement within the required schedule and budget.

  • Challenge the EPC contractor’s schedule and recovery plans.

  • Liaise and coordination with all technical disciplines and leads.

  • Lead site technical coordination and progress meetings to discuss contractor(s) progress, submissions, Shop Drawings and construction related matters.

  • Liaise directly with the EPC Contractor’s Representative on site regarding all matters related to the construction and commissioning of the works, changes, unidentified risks, potential delays, and any other matters that might impact the completion of the works in accordance with the contract.

  • Maintain daily site records and reports on the following, such as but not limited to activities on site, contractor staff numbers, Incidents on site, etc.

  • Preparing monthly and weekly progress reports for the site activities.

  • Report any other issues that may impact the completion of the work in accordance with the contract.

  • Keep, monitor, and follow up as necessary and complete records concerning the execution of the works.

  • Extend the maximum possible effort to avoid the contractor's claims for cost and/or delay.

  • Coordinate with another Owner Engineers leads such as technical

  • Liaise with the project supervision team, coordinate, and resolve any issues of concern.

  • Effective in building good working relationships within complex structures both within projects, with clients and internally.

  • All other site manager related activities.

Qualification/ Experience & Skills

  • Engineering Degree Qualified

  • Management Fundamentals.

  • Must have a strong Civil/Mechanical engineering background.

  • At least 15 years of working experience with related  construction management experience.

  • Must have worked on, at least two (2) projects, within the SWRO Technology

  • Working for EPC companies or consulting firms and managing a similar project.

  • Must be able to work both independently with a proactive approach and collaboratively as part of a multi-cultural team.

  • Should have managed multi-cultural teams.

  • Must have outstanding communication skills in written and spoken
