Atkins Architecture and Masterplanning Practice are looking to appoint a Senior Architect / Design Lead into our London Architecture & Masterplanning Studio. The role will primarily be focused on projects within the Education sector – leading design teams to deliver high quality school building projects that make a real difference to local communities. You’ll be working within a collaborative environment and taking responsibility for a variety of education projects throughout all design stages.

Responsibilities:
- To lead, manage and inspire a team by demonstrating the highest design standards and skills for projects across the Education sector.
- To ensure design responses are of the highest standard and exceed the client expectations.
- Preparing concept scheme designs from Client briefs.
- Developing and sustaining relationships with existing and new clients.
- To design and deliver projects that are imbued with a strong narrative and that enhance our reputation.
- Development of the design culture and capability of our multi-disciplinary design team(s).
- Leading multi-disciplinary teams in the preparation of production information and working drawing packages.
- Support in securing new business opportunities including bid writing, undertaking presentations to clients/project stakeholders.
Requirements:
We are looking for an enthusiastic Architect to work with our existing team to:
- Be focussed on design excellence, delivering inspiring solutions.
- Have a portfolio of work demonstrating design flair and capability across projects across the Education sector.
- Produce inspiring design focussed solutions.
- Demonstrate skill in communicating design ideas and concepts, including sketching, graphic illustration and 3D digital modelling.
- Be proficient in Revit
- Be creative in their approach.
- Have the ability to lead bids and opportunities
- Be engaged with the successful delivery of secured projects.
