Document Control Specialist

Our Renewables team is growing! We are looking for a Document Controls Specialist to support our Project Management team on a new metals recycling project.. The Document Control Specialist will manage our document control system, Aconex, and shall be the central controller of all documents and reporting passing between the Contractors, Vendors, our team and the client . They shall be the main contact for providing document management reporting. This initial position is based out of the clients site in Augusta GA.

How will you contribute to the team?

  • Establish comprehensive document controls that support project collaboration in a complex organizational structure
  • Ensure document quality and compliance within established policy and procedural framework
  • Drive utilization of approved EDMS and other solutions approved for use on the Project
  • Collaborate with contractors and 3rd party suppliers to ensure all relevant documentation is produced and supplied in compliance with established document control requirements
  • Facilitate document translation activities as required
  • Service excellence in support of the client, project team members, and other stakeholders
  • Support Project Director and Project Controls Manager in meetings with Project Stakeholders as required
  • Monitor QA/QC of document and information – formatting, taxonomy, classification, organization, versioning, etc.
  • Facilitate document translation activities as required
  • Report performance on weekly, monthly, quarterly basis as required
  • Provide an interface to IT support for Document Control issues, which include process enhancements to existing software, developing recommendations for new hardware and/or software that may benefit the Document Control environment
  • Support Document Control Manager in driving consistent implementation and procedural applications of standard project document control practices
  • Other document control activities as required

What will you contribute?

  • Associated Degree and/or minimum 10 years of Document Control / Information Management experience, is preferred, but 15 years of field experience and proven success would also be acceptable.
  • Strong computer skills and familiarity with standard Office 365 desktop applications
  • Administrative Level skillset with collaboration focused programs such as Teams/SharePoint
  • Administrative Level skillset with EDMS applications such as Aconex
  • English oral & written communication skills are required
  • Spanish oral & written communication skills highly desired
  • Ability to travel internationally as needed (current passport, no restrictions, visa limitations, etc.)
  • Skilled motivator, communicating with and instructing/training others
  • Ability to negotiate, influence and lead in a complex project organizational structure to produce results
