The Infrastructure Engineering division is currently looking for an Electrical Designer for its National Capital Region office. The incumbent must have experience working on building projects in Commercial/Retail, Residential and Institutional Markets.

Responsibilities:

• Developing preliminary design and technical specifications such as lighting, fire alarms and other related systems;
• Assist the senior technician and engineers preparing detailed design calculations and layouts;
• Conducting site visits and inspection;
• Develop feasibility studies.

Requirements:

• Collegial degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics ;
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in building electrical sector;
• Must have a solid understanding of engineering of building systems preferably for academic and research institutions, health care, offices, municipal infrastructure and industrial facilities;
• Project experience in the municipal and government sector (provincial and federal) would be an asset;
• Considerable knowledge of Consulting Engineering established guidelines, procedures and practices;
• Proficiency in planning and control methods;
• Understanding of industry and regulatory standards and design criteria;
• Considerable knowledge of a variety of standard engineering methods and techniques;
• Bilingualism French and English (written and spoke) an asset.
