Facilities Manager - Electrical

• Liaise with management and procurement department to assist in short listing Electrical engineering consultants / contractors.
• Review quotations, work orders, technical reports, outsourced consultant submittals and related technical reports to ensure providing management with sound recommendations to assist their decision making process.
• Ensure liaising with help desk and CAFM operators planners / schedulers from an Electrical aspect so as to safeguard SNC’s and client’s interests.
• Review and evaluate work scopes, material submittals, shop drawings, RFI, payments, and material submittals etc in order to ensure alignment with the SNC’s standards /  requirements  / contractual agreements
• Monitor the performance of the appointed consultant and contractor from an Electrical Engineering perspective to ensure project completion as per the stipulated schedule, allocated budget and quality terms, to honour SNC’s stakeholders.
• Ensure activities in relation to issuance of Electrical permits (e.g. Utility Providers) are carried out in a timely manner to avoid work interruptions.
• Witness the testing, commissioning & handover with Consultant (s) & Contractor (s) from an Electrical work aspect.
• Endorse and sign off the commissioning reports and handover Electrical Engineering works to the SNC Operations team.
• Implement approved departmental policies, processes and procedures, to ensure work is completed out in a controlled and consistent manner while delivering a world class service.
• Ensure cost-efficient usage of all applicable resources to reduce wastage and unnecessary expense.
• Share ideas and viewpoints to further streamline processes, thus driving efficiency and improvements across the organization
• Adhere to all relevant QHSSE procedures, instructions and controls so that SNC provides a safe, world class, secure and environmentally responsible service to customers, the public and its own people.
• Motivate team members and contribute to the identification of opportunities to take part in change initiatives, programmes and projects that reflect international best practice and changes in the competitive environment.
• Provide guidance and direct input to the development plans and performance management of direct reports to meet the SNC objectives.
• Assume or Accept any other responsibility as assigned by the direct supervisor

Qualification:

• Bachelor in Electrical Engineering
• 7 years of related experience of which a minimum of 5 years experience of managing comparable operation(s) in GCC region.  This should be in a similar position/ responsibility, preferably in a similar Industry.
• Good working knowledge of electrical systems (controls, ELV, BMS…etc.) and HVAC systems and applications.
• Sound knowledge of quality, health & safety and environmental management systems and regulations.
• Strong analytical and presentation skills.
