Financial Analyst

The Buildings Efficiency Company (BEC) is a joint venture between SNC-Lavalin an International Integrated FM service provider operating in the GCC, and Ajyad Knowledge Company specifically created to deliver Operations & Maintenance Services on our Tatweer Schools PPP (Wave 1) Contract based in our new Project Office in Jeddah. 

 

We are currently seeking to recruit a Financial Analyst who has previously worked in an accounting / finance department, preferably in facilities management, to perform daily accounting and finance tasks.    

Job Description / Role

Reporting directly to the Finance manager the Financial Analyst will conduct financial reporting entries and other daily accounting tasks.

The Financial Analyst will be responsible for the following:

  • Record and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded.
  • Update accounts receivable.
  • Processes supplier invoices; troubleshoots and resolves issues.
  • Reviews all cheque processing and fund transfers.
  • Review and process expense reports
  • Prepares and submits subcontractors’ payment reports.
  • Prepares monthly accounts reconciliations and resolve any outstanding items.
  • Supports our Operations personnel and respond to any ad-hoc requests from them.
  • Assist with reviewing of expenses, payroll records etc. as assigned.
  • Update financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed
  • Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports
  • Assist with other accounting projects
  • Assist with preparation and coordination of the audit process
  • Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines.
  • Assist Finance Manager in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings
  • Assist with implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures

 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelors in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or related field.
  • 3+ years’ work experience in core accounting function.
  • Excellent English and Arabic written and spoken communication.
  • Must demonstrate attention to detail as well as excellent organizational skills.
  • Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices.
  • A strong knowledge of MS-Office, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
  • Comfortable with ERP systems and knowledge of J.D. Edwards, in particular, is an asset.
  • Ability to learn and understand the Contractual Payment Mechanism and the working within the QFM CAFM system to avoid unnecessary KPI performance deductions.
  • Deputize for Finance Manager in times of its absence.
  • Candidate must be a Saudi national.
