We are seeking Geotechnical Engineers with a civil engineering background to work on our portfolio of major projects across the UK. Locations include Hinkley Point C, Devonport, Sizewell and HMNB Clyde (Faslane). As one of the UK’s leading geotechnical consultancies Atkins offers a comprehensive service in ground technology. Requirements:
The successful applicant will be a Geotechnical Engineer with a civil engineering background who has the ability and willingness to travel and work across the UK.
Candidates should have –
- A strong academic background with a degree in civil engineering.
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or approaching chartered status.
- Proven experience of working in a fast-moving engineering consultancy environment.
- Proven design experience.
- Proven project delivery and co-ordination of design teams.
- Excellent interpersonal and technical skills.
- Excellent communication skills and confidence to liaise with clients.
- Good commercial track record in negotiating and running successful jobs.
- Excellent report writing skills with the ability to self-check and produce accurate work.
- A willingness to travel within the UK.
- A valid UK driving licence preferred.
