Graduate Data Scientist (UAE Nationals Only)

We are looking for an Emirati as a Graduate Data Scientist based in Dubai.

You are fascinated about solving business problems using data using the appropriate tools. You have exposure in applying quantitative techniques for data analysis and ML/AI algorithms. You are a creative and critical thinker, eager to expand further your data science skills according to project needs. You are results-oriented with ability to understand wider business strategies. Beyond providing high-quality solutions, you are also capable of interpreting and communicating the outputs of your analysis to non-expert audiences.

  • Ability to apply technical knowledge to analyse problems and create innovative solutions

  • Interest/exposure in developing digital solutions including Artificial Intelligence

  • Some exposure to statistical modelling, machine learning, optimisation etc.

  • Hands-on programming experience (more likely for MSc/PhD grads)

Essential

  • A degree in applied maths, statistics, computer science, engineering or other related fields or equivalent experience.

  • Experience in applying quantitative techniques for data mining/analysis and exposure to applications of ML/AI algorithms

  • Good programming skills for data transformation or modelling, preferably using Python, R or similar

  • Experience with data visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau)

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Desirable 

  • Hands on experience with some of the following: regression, SVM, Random forests, Clustering, NLP, Neural Networks, Hypothesis testing, algorithm development

  • Experience with developing and provisioning sustainable solutions within cloud-based ecosystems (e.g. Microsoft Azure, AWS)

  • Strong academic record (MEng, MSci, EngD, PhD or equivalent)

Software Engineer BIM

This role is ideal for a candidate who has experience or an aspiration to be a computational designer/BIM or software engineer looking to progress their career in a highly innovative field that seeks to change the way buildings are designed and delivered. Candidates who possess an innate ability to analyse and improve workflows, utilise geometry, mathematics and computer science to solve building design problems, increase building data output quality, and ultimately save time and money by developing custom software solutions, will thrive in this role.

What type of skills are required?

  • Education in Architecture, Engineering, Building Contractor, or Manufacturing

  • Utilised computational design/BIM

  • Interest in or experience of software development experience using C#, IronPython and the .NET framework

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to apply geometric, mathematical and computer science concepts to solve building design problems

  • knowledge of the Revit API

  • Ability to work in an agile environment

  • Ability to collaborate with our other software development teams

  • Able to demonstrate initiative and a proactive approach to daily tasks

  • Good interpersonal skills and able to work independently as part of an effective team

  • Self-motivated

  • Flexible attitude

Complimentary Skills

  • Strong interest in software engineering and development, geometry, and applied mathematics

  • Desktop and web UI and UX development experience

  • Strong programming skills using PHP, Java, TypeScript or similar

  • Knowledge and experience of Autodesk Forge API’s

  • Strong knowledge of the Dynamo API

  • McNeal Rhino and Grasshopper experience
