Duties And Responsibilities:

• Demonstrates keen interest in Rail & Transit linear infrastructure.
• Senior technical resource may serve as technical lead for project / team.
• Provides specialized technical input to technical designs at various stages of projects.
• Develops design & delivery procedures to facilitate high quality cost effective work by others.
• Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
• Develops construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects.
• Uses expertise in all steps of completing discipline deliverables.
• Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings.
• Prepares technical specification sections & able to provide support on bid submission.
• Enthusiastic about implementing new technologies & digital adoption on the live projects.
• Focused to align projects towards Engineering Net Zero & sustainability.
• Able to guide junior team members during project delivery.

Qualifications:

• Masters degree in civil or structure engineering from a reputed college or university.
• Ideally chartered or working towards chartered with ICE.
• 10+ years of design experience in civil/structural Engineering in building/transportation domain.
• Min 5 years of experience working in the UK Rail industry with experience in Stations, platforms, depots & lineside etc.
• Working knowledge of Railway Level Crossings for UK region.
• Experience in ancillary civils design for Re-signalling & Electrification projects for Network Rail.
• Experience in both Concrete and Steel design.
• Experience in RC detailing and BBS check for all types of structures.
• Design experience in general civil work like foundations (pile, raft, pad), retaining walls, etc.
• Experience in designing Steel footbridges, stairs and lift shafts.
• Software: ROBOT, ETABS, MIDAS, STAAD PRO, TEDDS, Structural Bridge Design (SBD), Microstation.
• Design Codes: Euro Code, British Standards, Network Rail Standards.
• Experienced in leading a team of Engineers and CAD on at least couple of multi-D projects.
• Multi-D coordination experience on railway projects.
• Exposure to ME, American or Hongkong market is preferable.
