Head of Legal (UK) – Maternity Cover - Open to Part Time and Full Time applicants

Linxon, a leader in the energy industry, invites applications for the role of Head of Legal for its Birmingham office. Reporting directly to the Chief Legal Officer, this in-house position requires a candidate with a distinguished background in private practice law firms or relevant in-house legal roles.

As the Head of Legal, you will play a pivotal role in supporting Linxon's UK business unit and potentially other units globally. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide spectrum of legal matters related to engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) projects, major procurements, and corporate secretarial affairs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all litigation matters and external counsel relationships.

  • Provide comprehensive legal advice in areas such as contract law, corporate law, and antitrust law (excluding tax matters).

  • Offer guidance on construction claims and disputes, overseeing their resolution.

  • Conduct training for Linxon employees on internal regulations and legal matters.

  • Support the country integrity officer in integrity matters and conduct integrity training for Linxon employees.

  • Research, advise, and negotiate complex contractual documents for local and international EPC projects.

  • Line management of Linxon Legal Graduate

Experience Requirements:

  • Demonstrated excellence in litigation and disputes.

  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of other languages is advantageous.

  • Strong drafting skills with meticulous attention to detail.

  • Minimum 8 years of relevant EPC, construction, and litigation experience in a major law firm or corporation.

  • Ability to provide timely and sound legal advice in a fast-paced, multilingual environment.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Solicitor in the UK and Wales.
