We are seeking an Intermediate Electrical Procurement Support Designer – Remote. This is a remote position based out of our Oak Ridge, TN office.

How will you contribute to the team?
Prepares, development of technical specification, equipment and component specifications, sizing, detailed drawings, BOMs, and selection for various types of Electrical equipment and components and produce component related documentation.
Assists in the vendor proposal evaluation and technical evaluations, vendor documentation evaluation, etc., as required.
Interfaces with various engineering disciplines, suppliers, and other functional divisions of the company.
Supports the Procurement Engineering Manager with timely updates for procurement engineering progress and performance.
Provides technical support to engineering stakeholders to determine the cost, quality, and availability of components.
Provides technical support to engineering stakeholders to analyze technical requirements, vendor provided information and documentation and to identify suitable suppliers.
Complies with applicable QA procedures and ensure the quality, consistency, accuracy, and completeness of engineering deliverables/task within specified timelines and budgets.
Attends site meetings and perform walk-downs for data collection, inspections, condition assessment and configuration management as required.
Supports plant emergent issues, equivalency evaluations and Commercial Grade Dedication plans.
Performs other duties as assigned.
What will you contribute?
Requires a Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited University.
Minimum 5 years electrical engineering experience required.
Professional Engineer License preferred, or eligible to register for the PE License.
Engineering experience in the nuclear industry is an asset.
Field engineering and implementation experiences are assets.
Very good understanding of Electrical engineering principles.
Knowledge of electrical equipment and materials commonly used in nuclear power stations, power generation, or industrial facilities: motor control center, switchgear, uninterruptable power supplies, etc.
Ability to apply engineering principles and develop effective practical solutions.
Knowledge of Standard Modification Design Process is an asset.
Experience working in an EPC/project delivery environment is an asset.
Awareness of supply chain processes and practices is an asset.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office-related software applications, i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Eligible for Security Clearance through Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC);
Valid driver’s license and travel to client job site sites is required.
Good fluency and proficiency in communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills.
Strong planning and organizational skills, with strong multi-tasking skills.
Adaptability to change and thrives in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
Dedication to continuous learning and development to stay up to date with industry trends and best practices.
