Your role within the team:

• Assist to develop plan and profile drawings of Overhead lines and underground Cables for distribution network in coordination with engineers.
• Assist design engineer to develop underground cable routing conduit and trench plan layout and sections for distribution network.
• Perform simple estimates using data from the utility material database.
• Work closely with peers and other discipline designers to ensure accurate delivery that will meet utility Standards, industry standards and meet good engineering practices, policies, and procedures.
• Maintain complete project documentation with respect to all design packages.
• Maintain good working relationship with internal groups that support the project.

The ideal candidate:

• A diploma as Electrical Engineering Technologist from a recognized Institution.
• A minimum of 1-2 years of experience as Designer in the field of Transmission and Distribution is considered to have gained the required experience for the position.
• Proficiency in Bentley MicroStation, AutoCAD
• Experience in GIS software GEAR will be an asset.
• Experience in estimating tool like SAP will be an asset.
• Working knowledge in using Software like SpiderCalc and Cable pull planner 3000 will be an asset.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
