Our Buildings Design Office in Sudbury is looking for a Mechanical Engineer in Training to join our growing team.

Responsibilities

Working under the direction of experienced design staff, with detailed instructions:

  • Perform CAD and REVIT work, from detailed marked up drawings.
  • Perform routine calculations and designs as directed.
  • Work with more senior engineers to complete engineered drawings.
  • Issue drawings and other documents as directed/required.
  • Perform site take offs to determine existing conditions in buildings.
  • Coordinate designs with designers from other disciplines.
  • Attend construction sites and meetings with more senior engineers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Able to effectively communicate and coordinate with other members of a large team;
  • Basic knowledge of AutoCAD functions. Exposure to Revit and/or Microstation is an asset
  • Previous exposure to Building HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems. Exposure to HVAC design software (such as HAP) is an asset.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast paced environment
