Paralegal (Fixed term)

We are looking for a Paralegal to support our Middle East location. The role will be based in Dubai.

Paralegal duties and responsibilities

• Arabic-English translations of legal and administrative documents;

• Translation review of contracts (English-Arabic);

• Comparison of legal documents;

• Review and draft of simple contracts such as NDAs and MOUs;

• Support in employment and corporate matters;

• Administrative support: filing documents, organising and maintaining files, updating databases and standards agreements, handling lawyers’ invoices, maintaining entity signatory database, drafting corporate resolutions, maintaining list of awarded projects, maintaining list of parent company guarantees;

• Administrative assistance: travel arrangements, schedule meetings etc;

• Legal research;

• Liaison with local authorities for corporate and employment matters.

Paralegal qualifications, skills and experience:

• Fluent in Arabic & English (spoken and written)

• Degree in law (paralegal degree, Bachelor of Law or equivalent), preferably Civil-Law qualified

• The role fixed for one year. Possibility of contract extension after one year based on business decision.

• Preferably someone who has reasonable experience of working or studying in N. America or W. Europe

• Previous experience working in house legal counsel preferably in the UAE or other ME countries

• Familiarity with the UAE legal system (corporate, commercial, employment or/and contract law

• Excel, Word and Outlook skills
