The incumbent will report to the Director, Corporate Procurement. As a Procurement Analyst for Goods and Services, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies in collaboration with internal groups such as: IT, Human Resources, Finance, Administrative Services, Communication, etc. You will need to collaborate with the various members of the corporate procurement team and help to evaluate the buying habits of the groups served, review existing contracts and identify new strategies to optimize budgets and processes. in these categories of goods and services.

Responsibilities:

  • Collect economic data from applicable data sources to prepare and maintain pricing trend data on commodities for reports to internal team as well as business leadership. Build an accurate forecast for category price movements.
  • Coordinate price changes in systems through use of published indices and manage communications with impacted sites and suppliers.
  • Maintain procurement contracts and vendor master data in the system.
  • Support Procurement Manager in all data requests. Use analytic techniques to support procurement projects. Establish and maintain communication channels with procurement team members and internal business units for data gathering, validation, analysis and reporting.
  • Provide negotiation support to Procurement Manager. Support analysis and evaluation of bid award scenarios. Determine savings calculations and forecasts.
  • Support the Procurement Manager in the creation of tender packages as well as supplier evaluation models, such as total cost of ownership analysis, scenario modelling, and financial modelling.
  • Participate in the evaluation plan to determine the feasibility of the bid/tender using qualitative techniques. Analyst and report bid response data in suitable formats for ease of comparison and selection.
  • Track and report savings, support procure-to-pay process improvement and monitor cost savings as well as working capital improvements using the tracking tools in place.
  • Identify gaps in policies, processes and procedures leading to incorrect data and propose solutions and lead cross functional teams to execute proposed solutions.
  • Assist the Procurement Manager in the negotiation of some files.
  • Any other work as requested by the Procurement Manager.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Proficient user of Microsoft Excel required (experience with pivot tables, v-look ups, programming, macros, sorts and filters etc.
  • Advanced knowledge of power point and Ms Office softwares.
  • Knowledge of accounting and must like playing with pricing and numbers
  • Very Strong collaboration with Corporate Procurement team as well as internal Stakeholders.
  • Must be able to work autonomously, be reliable, dynamic and a team player

Education & Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s level degree in Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain or equivalent.
  • Certification in MS Excel, Tableau or other tools as an advantage.

Skills/Abilities/Behaviours:

  • Attention to detail. Able to communicate data concepts and issues clearly
  • Excellent quantitative analysis and analytical skills. Self-directed to problem-solving.
  • Strong action/results orientation with the ability to work with minimal oversight, to be self-motivated and proactive in achieving individual/team objectives.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and an ability to articulate views convincingly and influence internal clients and external suppliers.
  • Demonstrated understanding of working in a Global company and interaction with other functions and business groups.
  • Financial acumen and familiarity with business accounting terms as an advantage.
