We are hiring! The Procurement Specialist is an integral part of our Procurement Team. This is an entry-level position and is based out of Oak Ridge, TN, Aiken, SC, or Richland, WA.

How will you contribute to the team?

The Procurement Specialist Is responsible for identifying suppliers of off-the-shelf goods and services, selecting appropriate goods and services and negotiating their purchase and delivery to provide the company with “best value” procurements.  Provide support to AtkinRéalis’s Small Business Program Manager in In-Reach, Out-Reach, and reporting activities in accordance with Atkins Federal contract requirements and others related to the management of AtkinRéalis’s Small Business Program. Become a trusted business partner to vendors and customers as well as the Department of Energy, and the various communities AtkinsRéalis provides services striving to meet or exceed the Small Business goals.  Strive to achieve a consistently high level of customer service with both external customers and internal staff.  Occasional travel may also be required.

• Assists the Procurement Supervisor in the day-to-day implementation of the Policies and Procedures
• Seeks “best value” suppliers of off-the-shelf goods and services (e.g., supplies, parts, equipment and maintenance) through market research, price quotes and other company approved methods.
• Selects appropriate goods or services for purchase in response to an applicable purchase requisition, and negotiates the purchase and delivery of such goods or services.
• Maintains accurate and complete procurement files of all goods and services purchased in accordance with AtkinsRéalis’s procurement policies and procedures.
• Coordinates, develops and produces subcontract documentation such as subcontracts, agreements, modifications, task/delivery orders, solicitations, estimates, cost/price analyses, negotiation memorandums, justifications, determinations, special contract provisions, representations, certifications and correspondence.
• Evaluates proposals and quotations, determines offer responsiveness, responsibility and eligibility for award and provides support for discussions and negotiations.
• Responsible for maintaining subcontract files.
• Responsible for monitoring and tracking supplier deliverables.
• Reviews and processes purchase requisitions.
• May have responsibility to ensure subcontract requirements are met, monitors cost status, assists in cost management and coordinates issue resolution with customers.
• Negotiates terms and conditions with suppliers or subcontractors.
• Ensures cost or price analyses are conducted and adequately documented to ensure fair and reasonable prices.
• Closes out supplier or subcontracts.
• May coordinate, develop and produce subcontract documentation.
• May be responsible for maintaining subcontract files.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

What will you contribute?

• EXPERIENCE: 0-2 years of related experience
• EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree required in business administration or related field
• SPECIAL SKILLS: Procurement or purchasing experience, SharePoint Experience a plus

• PROFESSIONAL REGISTRATIONS: None required
• OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Must be a US citizen

Expected compensation range is between $56,000 - $94,000 annually/hourly depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
