Role Summary
In this newly created role the Quality Lead will work closely with senior leaders as part of the Quality Group and wider business, bringing a collaborative approach to an exciting and challenging opportunity to enhance delivery excellence and client satisfaction.
You will drive a quality culture in the business and support in embedding quality processes, principles and approaches. This would include actively supporting implementation of improvements, driving lessons learned and encouraging continual improvements. These requirements form an important part of some of the key aims of the wider business and Quality Group to enhance our ‘right first time’ culture and improve the efficiency of project delivery.
You will lead the assurance and improvement programs by:
Communicating and driving for continuous improvement with the Practice teams and technical leads
Driving quality lessons learned and continual improvements
Identifying risks and trends from various assurance activities undertaken at a bid, project, divisional level
Engaging with the Central Quality function to embed Engineering Services requirements
Initiating ‘proactive’ deep dive project audits
Reviewing and keeping up to date the quality aspects of the Infrastructure Deliver Work Framework.
Desired Skills, Experience and Capabilities
Broad experience and knowledge of how a project-based consultancy business operates, supported by experience of technical delivery of multi-disciplinary projects.
Experience and knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma quality principles (or be willing to undertake some training), including requirements to fulfill ISO9001:2015
A highly skilled collaborator and communicator to influence outside of hierarchy, encourage accountability and a positive quality culture
Ability to drive ‘adaptive challenges’ through staff engagement and consultation, and not rely solely on additional process or system-based solutions
A member of a Professional body, ideally quality related (Chartered Quality Institute or working towards if Chartered through another path).
