Railway Protection Expert

The Railway Protection Expert, with a minimum of 5 years’ technical experience, will assist the Client in managing the safe modification or construction of works to or around the Metro assets.

This shall include the preparation of procedures to control the No Objections Certificate (NOC) system, submission of documentation, supervision and inspections of the works in or around stations and the Metro assets.

The Railway Protection Expert will also be responsible for keeping all engineering and as-built documents updated and issued to the relevant Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Contractor.

Duties & Responsibilities

As part of the Metro Services Delivery Team:

• Assist in preparation of procedures and documents.

• Inspect and identify works which are conducted within the Railway Protection Zone. 

• Assist the Railway Protection Manager in his duties.

• Attend meetings with the Client to communicate the procedures produced.

• Review O&M Contractor’s documentation.

• Report to the Railway Protection Manager.

• Oversee relevant pre-launch Metro Service activities.

• Verify O&M Contractor’s compliance to Contract and to Client’s satisfaction.

• Measure progress of O&M Contractors against contractual milestones.

• Support the O&M Contractors to obtain the license to operate.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in the relevant discipline.

• A minimum of 5 years’ technical experience.
