The work of the HR team is key to supporting the business, line managers and employees. The Total Reward team is a global function within the HR team and has a small, shared service team based in India which the role will be part of.  The team is responsible for providing a consistently great customer experience and making sure services are delivered optimally meeting all policy and compliance requirements. The Shared Services Team also includes responsibility for improvement – how can systems, processes and data be optimised to make the service even better and take a pro-active approach to lead not just respond to the wider team and business requirements.

How will you contribute to the team?

To perform this role successfully, the individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

Annual Compensation Cycle

  • Provide project management support to the Total Rewards Manager on the delivery of the annual compensation cycle.
  • Complete analysis activities such as data validation and detailed analysis to support sign off process.
  • Act as escalation point for data queries during the annual compensation cycle. 
  • Support post-merit process such as checking payroll uploads.

Benchmarking and Salary Scales

  • Lead data submissions to survey providers for benchmarking purposes.
  • Provide analytical support for reviewing and testing current salary scales and ageing based on market data.
  • Provide ad-hoc benchmarking analysis based on business request.

Annual Incentive Plan (Bonus Plan)

  • Validate data for the participants and eligibility monthly.
  • Act as escalation point for data queries.
  • Deliver updates to training materials including support for annual training to the HR community.
  • Support post Annual Incentive Plan activities – such as audit reconciliation, ensure payment reports are shared to HR/Payroll for processing.

Data Validation & Analysis

  • Maintain monthly data validation checks associated with compensation data fields to ensure data is kept up to date and accurate all year round.
  • Identify recurring data errors and work with HR to drive process improvements to reduce data queries.
  • Provide analysis for any ad-hoc requests from both Human Resources and the Business as required.

Benefit administration

  • Assist with the management of the existing employee benefit provision which includes annual renewal and ongoing relationship management providers.
  • Administer, analyse, and reconcile benefits data and process all invoices for providers and schemes.

Additional responsibilities

  • Support with Recognition awards process.
  • Involvement in Total Reward development and improvement projects which align to overall objectives and development opportunities.

What will you contribute?

  • Demonstrable success in an in-house compensation role, within a large complex corporate environment– supporting annual cycles e.g., pay reviews, bonus reviews etc. and ideally supporting these processes for geographies outside of India.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with emphasis on accuracy, coupled with the ability to see the broader picture and present data and recommendations in a highly organised and logical way.  Experience of working with HR/compensation data.
  • Experience of working with HR systems (workday and Oracle experience preferred).
  • Advanced level of competence in Excel (e.g. ability to produce “if statements”, “V look-ups”, “pivot tables”, as well as more complex formulas) and proficient knowledge of PowerPoint to present data outcomes.
  • Knowledge and experience of Power BI, visual basics and/or creating macro enabled workbooks would be beneficial.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with emphasis on accuracy, coupled with the ability to see the broader picture and present data and recommendations in a highly organised and logical way.
  • Effective communication skills with demonstrated ability to build relationships and establish credibility with other parts of the HR function.
  • Ability to prioritise ever-changing workload in a fast-changing environment and to do so effectively.
  • Graduate with a degree in a relevant, numerate, discipline.
  • Ability to work in a team-driven environment as well as in an autonomous manner using initiative to complete tasks.
