Join us as a Senior Asset Management (RCM Senior Consultant) in 'Aerospace, Defence, Security and Technology' (ADS&T). You'll lead teams that are employed to analyse, assess and develop ways to design support for systems our Clients own. We have a huge variety of projects on all the time, ranging from niche consultancy projects to large, high profile programmes. So, you'll always be able to keep yourself challenged.

Your purpose:

Successful candidate may be required to travel regionally and nationally as per role and project needs. Prime responsibilities for the role are:

  • Planning and development of maintenance optimisation work for Clients utilising appropriate tools and standards as required.
  • Delivery of cost-effective support solutions to a wide variety of clients primarily within the UK Defence domain.
  • Knowledge of principles and methods of asset management across multiple domains to provide advice and guidance on technical and investment decisions.
  • Experience of working directly with clients to provide advice and guidance on investment decisions.
  • Contribute in problem-solving, deal well with ambiguity and new content in a very broad range of situations across asset management activities, including input to bid proposals/tender responses.
  • Willingness to learn and able to diversify across multiple projects and domains.

What you can bring?

Technical Knowledge and Experience - Essential:

  • Experience as RCM Practitioner or Trainer.
  • Deep understanding of Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) as practiced in Defence or Industry, to Def Stan 00-045, or SAE JA1012, or Mil Hdbk-2173 or MSG-3.
  • Good understanding and practical experience of Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA) with knowledge of Mil-hdbk-1629 (or equivalent).
  • Good working knowledge and understanding of Maintainability prediction or Maintenance Task Analysis techniques.
  • Working knowledge and experience in asset condition monitoring and surveys

Attributes – Essential:

  • Ability to manage and adapt with potential ambiguity or new content in a very broad range of situations.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team and contribute with a problem-solving, investigative and innovative skillset.
  • Experience of working directly with clients to provide advice and guidance on asset management technical matters.
  • Willing to grow RCM and Asset Lifecycle Delivery services.
  • Good communication skills (written, verbal, presentation).

Desirable:

  • RCM2 Practitioner or Facilitator Trained (Aladon or Industry).
  • Understanding of the DLF, KID & SSDT.
  • Def Stan 00-600 and JSP886 experience.
  • ISO 55000 or PAS 55 experience.
  • Have an interest in asset management matters through membership of associated societies, production of related articles/papers.
  • Broad engineering domain knowledge.
  • HNC/HND/Degree level in an engineering discipline or demonstrable relevant practical and theoretical engineering experience.
  • Aspiration or working towards Chartered Engineer or equivalent.
  • Knowledge and experience of working in wider markets, with experience of consultancy selling to external clients.
  • Awareness or emerging experience in developing and maintaining plans, reliability and maintainability (R&M) analysis and obsolescence management.
  • Previous asset management experience, in Defence or other high hazard industries is highly desirable, but not essential.
