How will you contribute to the team?

To perform this role successfully, the individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

• Able to author competent technical reports of acceptable technical and presentational
  quality.
• Able to present/represent their work and that of their colleagues on the project
  (presentations/meetings).
• Offer new ideas to improve solutions and processes and see through ideas to implementation and completion.
• Develop broad technical competence and able to check work of all those in the project team.
• Capable of responsible and varied assignments. Receive on the job technical training through performing tasks with no supervision. Able to independently deliver work and integrate with larger project team.
• Applies professional knowledge and experienced judgement but refers to more senior
  staff for complex matters
• Demonstrates design ability and/or technical detail capability.

Project Management:

• Clear knowledge of work procedures, and ability to brief project team on them. Responsible for completion of projects to time and cost and conversant with Financial Systems.
• Should be familiar with the commercial aspects of project management. Should be able to work as reliable and pro-active member of the team, able to apply knowledge gained. Be able to reliably manage a team. Regular supervision of other junior staff.
• Increasing knowledge of, and use of, Atkins capabilities outside of business units. Developing relationships with Atkins colleagues outside of the business area.
• Report on own performance on a regular basis including (this includes eg timesheets)
• Regular client contact. Building relationships with limited set of common clients. Good understanding of Operating Unit technologies and markets. Clear understanding of local business (Divisional) technologies and markets.
• Successful in identifying and following through on leads/suggestions associated with existing clients and should respond professionally to enquiries. Able to manage the drafting of responses to bids within their area of expertise and realistically estimate pricing associated with projects within their area of expertise.

What will you contribute?

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.
• H&S and Environmental Demonstrates the necessary level of competence and responsibility according to grade.
• Key Relationships Internal: At all levels of other business units and divisions within GDC including Sharjah.
• External: Contact with clients, representatives, contractors and suppliers on matters concerning the project and is able to represent the technology/department on multi-discipline projects.
