Transportation Business is looking for a Highway Lighting/Electrical/ITS engineer with 10 to 12 years of experience in Transportation and Urban Infrastructure design projects. Candidates interested should be conversant with the relevant Electrical/Lighting/ITS standards and codes and should have prior experience of delivering the projects independently.
How will you contribute to the team?
You will be a part of Transportation Business, responsible for the design and delivery to various Highways/Urban infrastructure projects. To perform this role successfully, the individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
- Road Lighting and Electrical designs.
- Traffic signal designs and planning.
- Landscape and infrastructure Lighting and electrical designs.
- Liaison with other Discipline teams in various offices.
- Mentoring the junior staff.
- Managing own and team workload.
- Implementation of Atkins Quality assurance procedures.
What will you contribute?
- Appropriate academic qualifications (Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent).
- Appropriate professional qualifications (Institute of Engineering and Technology or similar).
- Domain experience of minimum 8 years in Lighting, Electrical, signals and ITS designs for Highways/ Infrastructure projects.
- Good understanding of British, American and other International design standards
- Proficient in discipline design software particularly AutoCAD, Civils 3D, Lighting Reality, AGi32, Dialux and electrical cable sizing software.
- Proficient with new communication methods and online platforms of working.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience to lead and manage small to medium size projects.
- Ability to work independently in a team environment and can handle multiple priorities.
