Senior Feeder Welding Technologist

Candu Energy Inc. is looking for a Senior Feeder Welding Technologist to help with SNN Feeder Replacement Project to support welding qualification and site execution work.

Job Responsibilities:

• Serve as senior tech for feeder welding.
• Provide troubleshooting assistance, technical support and expert guidance, as needed.
• Utilize extensive technical knowledge and problem solving ability to ensure most efficient performance of the process.
• Advanced knowledge of equipment, processes and principles of operation in the area to which they are assigned.
• Ability to effectively communicate work instructions to support personnel.
• Advanced ability to setup, operate and troubleshoot any welding machine for which they are the designated expert
• May operate complex equipment and/or understand complex drawings and diagrams.
• Independent judgment and resourcefulness are required.
• Solves complex problems using advanced technical knowledge and creativity.
• May serve as a problem-solving resource to others.
• Maintain stable performance and behavior under pressure and/or opposition.

Qualifications:

• 10 or more years’ experience with welding feeders and FC/bellows
• Feeder replacement experience and CANDU Site experience is crucial for this role
• Exceptional communication and problem solving skills
• Must be “Team Player” with a demonstrated ability to work well with others and promote a positive work environment.
