Senior Preconstruction/Design Manager
Our Chicago team is growing! We are seeking a Senior Preconstruction/Design Manager with over 15 years' experience in healthcare construction, with at least 5 years in a supervisory capacity. This is a fulltime internal position with Faithful+Gould offering robust benefits located at our premier client site in Chicago, IL.

Responsibilities
• Assist in updating the annual year and ten-year CIP
• Oversee programming and services of A/E consultants; achieve compatibility with CIP scope and
• budget
• Manage the activities of the project managers with projects in programming or design phases
• Serve as project manager for select projects in the CIP
• Work with Client for upcoming projects
• See that project progress reports are prepared monthly
• Manage professional firms’ design contracts
• Assist with Prebid conferences and contractor selection process
• Review construction cost estimates at various project milestones for accuracy and completeness
• Assist in coordinating FF&E purchasing and definition of owner furnished equipment
• Maintain working relationship with project participants
• Assist in preparation of the monthly owner progress reports
• Perform QC/QA reviews of monthly reports and documents, as requested
• Assist in drafting competitive solicitations by developing scopes of service in accordance with the local Procurement Code
• Assure staff responsiveness and leadership for assigned projects

Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Architecture, Building Technology, Engineering or related field
• Minimum 15 years relevant experience as Preconstruction/Design Manager
• Must have healthcare experience
• Demonstrate an understanding of industry best practice techniques, specific to the healthcare industry
• Demonstrate effective understanding of P6 advanced techniques such as how to use the multiple critical path function.
• Demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement.
• Demonstrate ability to work as an agent of change.
• Must have strong understanding of healthcare design standards/specifications/procedures.
• Must thoroughly understand and utilize Information Technology in the performance of work including Internet, Intranet, Microsoft Windows OS, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project.
• Certification with AIA PMI or CMAA is preferred
