Job description

• Provide, develop and enhance the project control plan and tools for the projects (project handbook, methods, templates etc.) and work-processes for project set up, execution and close out within the assigned project

• Execute the Project Controls Process on Capital Projects as per Engineering Manual

• Ensure that the Project Controls Process is carried out in accordance with the Project Controls Procedure and the Project Controls Plan

• Manage the interface for Project Controls activities to all required Pharma Departments (e.g. Engineering, Finance, Procurement) and to the Architect/Engineers and Construction Contractors

• Constructively challenge project managers regarding cost, schedule and quality

• Continuously monitor the practicability and the benefit of the Project Controls process and tools included in the Project Controls Procedure Toolbox and suggest improvements

• Ensure the project governance according to the defined project management tools and processes

• Manage the interface between project and Client’s local and global policies, standards, requirements and enable the project to adapt these (e.g. procurement, accounting, documentation policies); Represent the project with its needs within Client

• Set up of project communication concept in collaboration with responsible communication functions and support Client internal and external communication

• Facilitate and enable project team to drive smoothly through the project phases and changing project conditions e.g. by supporting integration of new team members, adaptation of tools and infrastructure, provision and update of roles and responsibilities / organization charts, communications and team building measures

• Organize project internal workshops and team building events (e.g. Project Execution Workshop, Lessons Learned Workshop) including in regard to content and methods

• Support the Program Director with introduction of new resources, ensure know-how transfer, especially training on tools, processes and Client requirements

• Assist with Client internal audits and project reviews

• Special assignments defined by the  Program Director (e.g. conflict management, analysis, contract resolution)

• Provide project management support in decision making processes, provision and preparation of relevant management information (e.g. for Steering Committee Meetings)

• Coordinate within Global Engineering the utilization and knowledge transfer of project information management tool

• Coordinate benchmarking, lessons learned and best practices

• Perform project reviews and audits

Education (minimum/desirable) :           

• Master Degree or Degree in Engineering

Experience

• At least 10 years of relevant experience in area of project controlling with at least 5 years in Pharmaceutical projects. 

• Experience in project scheduling is a plus.
