We have an opportunity for a dynamic and motivated Senior Tunnel Engineer for our Bangalore office. An ideal opportunity for individual looking to develop his Tunnelling experience by working with a multidiscipline team of Geotechnical/Tunnelling Engineers providing a comprehensive design service to our clients.

The candidate will be a Senior Tunnel Engineer with a proven track record in the design of underground / civil engineering structures including tunnels and shafts. The Senior Tunnel Engineer position involves a range of interesting and challenging responsibilities. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with other engineers and technical staff within the team.

How will you contribute to the team?

• A strong academic background with degree in civil engineering bachelors or master degree in Tunnel Engineering or equivalent
• Ability to work in project teams under supervision of senior staff
• Assist in the delivery of projects and offers
• With 10+ years of relevant design experience in a consulting environment
• Working towards chartered status (or equivalent) within a relevant professional association
• Excellent interpersonal and technical skills
• Excellent communication skills and confidence to liaise with international clients
• Excellent report writing skills with the ability to self-check and produce accurate work
• Conversant with tunnelling analysis software like Plaxis, FLAC, Phase2 etc.
• A willingness to travel on short term assignments to overseas. 

What will you contribute?

• Degree in Civil Engineering and Masters in Rock and Underground Structures/structural engineering specialization is preferred.
• Structural engineering codes and standards experience is preferred.
• Strong understanding of Engineering Geology and Tunnel Construction Methods.
• Numerical modelling software experience for design of excavations and/or concrete structures is preferred.
• Sufficient post-graduation experience, with a significant proportion gained with an engineering design company undertaking the design of tunnels or related infrastructure in Soft Ground and Hard Ground.
