Atkins seeks an energetic and highly motivated self-starter to join our Denver, CO team as a Sr. Traffic Operations Engineer to provide traffic operations modeling, travel demand modeling and traffic forecasting, safety analysis, and transportation planning.
You will play a leading role in our excellent team and continue to develop your skills through experience, working on the range of our existing projects, in combination with exceptional formal training opportunities. You'll make the most of your analytical skills and client focus to guide others and deliver interesting high-quality projects. How will you contribute to the team?
- Perform work that involves traffic engineering and transportation planning practice but may include a variety of complex features such as stakeholder management, alternatives analysis, or difficult coordination requirements.
- Analyze and provide modeling services related to a range of transportation including road investment, bus rapid transit, sustainable solutions and transportation technology projects.
- Help deliver projects for local, regional, federal, and key national clients.
What will you contribute?
- B.S. or M.S. in Engineering with minimum six years' experience.
- P.E. license is required.
- Required skills include experience with traffic modeling and simulation software (Synchro, TransModeler, VISSIM, etc.).
- Skills with traffic forecasting and travel demand modeling, transportation planning software (TransCAD), and safety analysis is preferred.
- PTOE Certification Desired.
- Good technical writing, computer and communications skills.
- Proficiency with scripting languages such as VBA, R, C, Java, etc. is highly desired.
