This role aligns with SNC-Lavalin’s ambition to embrace Digital technologies and be an industry leader in Digital Engineering Services.
Situated in the System & Safety Assurance directorate, the cyber security team, formed of engineers and specialists, analyzes Industrial Control Systems (ICS) elements as well as network architectures, to identify the actual and potential vulnerabilities associated with the project elements. The cyber security team defines and proposes technological solutions, processes and systems for the protection of facilities and people, through delivery of a resilient digital infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

Cyber security for ICSs is a multidisciplinary field and requires expertise in various domains. Depending on your background knowledge and interest, and with the support of SNC-Lavalin’s cyber security experts, your will:

  • Conduct threat and vulnerability assessments and risk quantification by identifying all the critical assets and engaging the involved stakeholders
  • Develop industry-centric knowledge in the domain of cyber security for ICSs
  • Liaise with the design and construction team to ensure the cyber security activities and requirements are being implemented by the project team and by the suppliers
  • Assist in the development of bid materials and white papers
  • Develop cyber security procedures, policies and plans in compliance with international industry standards
  • Contribute to the development of a cyber laboratory which includes modeling and interfacing of the Operational Technology (OT), Information Technology (IT) and Network Technology (NT) layers of ICSs

Essential Requirements:

  • Having or working towards an undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering (Telecommunications, Computer, Electrical or Software) and Information Technology, or in a field related to cyber security
  • Knowledge of, or interest in cyber security core concepts
  • Knowledge of NIST and ISO270001 cyber security frameworks and APTA cyber security consideration for public transit an asset
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and Outlook
  • The ability to work effectively remotely within an extended team
  • Bilingual French / English
