BIM Designer/Engineer - MEP

Required Software Experience:

Autodesk Revit MEP, Navisworks (or) similar coordination/review software.

Minimum requirements:

Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Related 3-10 years’ experience minimum in the AEC industry experience / sound knowledge of MEP systems. 

Job Functions:

• Should be a Autodesk certified expert user of MEP Revit 2018 and above.
• 3D model-based multi-disciplinary trade coordination in preparation for construction and produce coordination drawings as required in Revit MEP Environment.
• Check model for Stage Completeness, Dimensional accuracy against modelling standards.
• Ensure Level of Quality control for Completeness and adherence to company standards of all Drawings produced.
• Navisworks (Interference checks / Clash resolve) and Responsible for deliver the clash resolved model to the client.
• Provide virtual and in-person support to field project teams in regards to 3D models, 2D drawings and graphics to support.
• Help to resolve BIM design issues Co-ordination with the Architect / Structural team on MEP requirements.
• Stay informed the best practices & methodologies in BIM implementation.
• Ensure Level of Quality control for Completeness and adherence to company standards of all Drawings produced.
• Revit family Content creation – MEP (Families such as parametric, Formula, Nested and type catalogues.

HVAC Discipline:

• Mechanical Template creation (Views, Duct types, View templates, Sheets etc.,)
• Filters creation (Assign Color codes, Line types, Line thickness etc.,)
• Duct & Pipe type creation (SA, RA, FA, Air terminals, Heating & Cooling) with its routing preferences included with insulation.
• Parametric family creation (AHU, FCU, Chillers, Radiators, Exhaust fans, Duct fittings and its accessories etc.,)
• Worksets creation to suit Project requirement
• Revit server working environment & Work-sharing
• Mechanical schedule / Legend / Title content creation etc.,

Electrical Discipline:

• Electrical Template creation (Views, Cable tray types, View templates, Sheets etc.,)
• Filters creation (Assign Color codes, Line types, Line thickness etc.,)
• Lighting devices, lighting fixtures with circuiting, small power & Cable tray fittings.
• Parametric family creation (Lighting & emergency lighting fixtures, Outlets, Fire alarm, Security, Containment, Earthing, trunking with fittings and its accessories etc.,)
• Worksets creation to suit Project requirement.
• Revit server working environment & Work-sharing.
• Electrical schedule / Legend / Title content creation etc.,

PHE Discipline:

• Public health Template creation (Views, Pipe types, View templates, Sheets etc.,)
• Filters creation (Assign Color codes, Line types, Line thickness etc.,
• Pipe type creation (Sanitary, Waste, Vent, BCWS & HWS) with its routing preferences included with insulation.
• Parametric family creation (Water tanks, Pumps, Valves, Heaters, Calorifiers, fittings and its accessories etc.,)
• Worksets creation to suit Project requirement
• Revit server working environment & Work-sharing
• Mechanical schedule / Legend / Title content creation etc.,

Soft Skill

• Superior communication and interpersonal (tact, diplomacy, influence, etc.) skills essential both within the internal project team and externally etc.,
• Create Building internal / External Walkthroughs (MEP elements) and Client Presentation on BIM projects.
• To coach / Mentor and supervise the process of BIM activities within the team.
• Demonstrate the understanding and implementing of commercial aspect of executing the project through managing the project within budget and given timeline
• Demonstrate the capability of leading a dynamic team identified for the project.
