Due to continued business growth we are looking for an exceptional Regional Director (Project Manager / Cost Manager / Consultancy background) with strong and proven infrastructure experience, notably for Rail and Highways projects, to take a lead position across the region in directing and supporting our growing transportation team. The individual must have a proven track record in developing and growing clients into key accounts in the transportation sector, be ambitious, looking to progress quickly within our business and will play a key role in supporting the growth of our infrastructure team. The role will involve both delivering and winning work with existing and new clients and being part of the national transportation leadership team. 
Preferably based in Birmingham and reporting to the Regional MD you will be responsible for:

  • Working with the National Head of Transportation to help define the national strategy
  • Defining and leading on the regional strategy for the sector
  • Directing the sub-sector teams on the implementation of the strategy and working with the operational business on delivery
  • Leading on client engagement / care and management for key accounts
  • Identifying target clients and developing an engagement plan
  • Innovation – constantly reviewing how to do things better and more efficiently
  • Maintaining up to date Collateral / Comms to underpin our strategy
  • Recruitment – identifying what key resources we need, where we need them and why?
  • Working closely with the operational business on direction and strategy
  • Reporting to the Regional Managing Director and the regional leadership team
  • Reviewing and assessing performance on key projects and supporting the operational business in driving efficiency across the region
  • This role will be split between project delivery, regional sector team leadership and business growth with the bias being around strategy and growth both externally with key strategic partners and clients and internally across the entire SNC Lavalin business.
