What is your role at SNC-Lavalin?
My responsibilities as a transportation planner and traffic engineer include but not limited to:
- Perform research, obtain traffic data, and conduct traffic analysis for various projects
- Modelling traffic projects using software, and simulation tools in compliance with standards of the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT)
- Prepare project report and technical memorandum
- Collaborate with other design teams, communicate with other project consultants, and clients as needed
- Represent Atkins at technical and public meetings
Tell us a little bit about your background?
I completed my MSc and PhD degree from University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2018. I was fortunate to work under guidance of Professor Srinivas Pulugurtha where I performed traffic operation, traffic safety analysis, Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) and travel time reliability studies.
What is the best thing about your job?
I love that I am busy every week working on a range of projects. I get to learn new things and solve new challenges. Undoubtedly, the job is challenging. But the essence of a friendly work environment and proper guidance make the hardest day just great.
