Aviation Project Manager

Our Northeast Aviation team is growing! Faithful+Gould seeks an energetic and highly motivated Project Manager with experience in the Aviation sector to be based in the New York Metro Area.  Ideal candidates would be capable of supporting primary programs based at Newark Airport, but opportunities exist at all New York and Philadelphia Metro Area airports. Multiple positions are available that will be responsible for managing general airport improvements and new terminal construction programs as the owner’s representative and will guide the design management, procurement, and execution of the projects. Experience in high end tenant improvements and/or ground up aviation programs as an embedded resource with a client is a plus! This position will report to the regional aviation Senior Director.

How will you contribute to the team?

  • Utilizes background in construction, aviation, engineering or design to integrate well into client organizations with ease.
  • Comfortable with changing dynamics and balancing new client initiatives.
  • Familiar with the organizational requirements of delivering construction projects in an airport environment.
  • Coordinates with teams to develop front-end budgets, schedules, risk logs and other reports.
  • Provides primary daily point of contact to client, contractors and consultants as owner representative.
  • Facilitates the front-end definition of scope of work for projects in coordination with the client stakeholders.
  • Creates and executes project execution plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
  • Comfortable utilizing a variety of technology tools to create reporting, dashboards and analyze data for process improvements.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effect change and drive improvements client-side.  Ability to present and pitch ideas.
  • Implements project review and quality assurance procedures in accordance with Faithful+Gould methodology to ensure profitable and successful execution of engagements as measured by regional goals and customer satisfaction.
  • Review deliverables prepared by team before passing to client.
  • Performs such other duties as the Supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.

What will you contribute?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Architecture, Engineering or a related field, plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Must be highly articulate, have clear and analytical approach to problem solving, and strong decision-making abilities. Must have excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience managing interior renovation, retail, and/or concession projects within the aviation environment is highly desirable.
  • Experience managing ground up projects within the aviation environment is highly desirable.
  • Experience delivering programs within Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ) sites highly desirable.
  • Must possess a strong understanding of Project Management and the building design and construction processes.
  • Must be capable of passing security screening to obtain an access badge from the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.  Any employment offer will be contingent on successful completion of the badging process.
  • Must thoroughly understand and utilize Information Technology in the performance of work including Internet, Intranet, Microsoft Windows OS, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) [certified by the Project Management Institute (PMI) Global Accreditation Centre (GAC)] and/or, LEED Accreditation (LEED AP) [certified by the US Green Building Council] highly desirable.

$120,000.00 to $150,000- USD
