M&E Cost Manager

The Cost Manager - Mechanical & Electrical (QS M&E) will be responsible for the successful delivery of projects with the desired project objectives.

The roles and responsibilities include:

  • Prepare bill of quantities/pricing schedule, tender documents and tender pricing
  • Attend tender interviews with the client and project team in the administration of projects
  • Post contracts cost management works, manage and evaluate variation orders, payment valuations and final accounts
  • Obtain, compile and evaluate quotations from the respective suppliers/vendors according to tender contracts requirements
  • Technical review on suppliers/contractors quotation or proposal making sure that all tender contract requirements are in order
  • Manage project close out

The successful candidate should possess:

  • Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or related disciplines
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in Building and/or Engineering projects preferably with consultancy background
  • A breadth knowledge across all aspects of M&E knowledge and excellent technical knowledge in a number of specific areas
  • With wide range of projects experience in all sizes and dimensions
  • Sound computer knowledge
  • Familiarity with MEP cost estimates/tender preparation and evaluation/interim valuation/final account close out; knowledge of different types of Conditions of Contracts will be an advantage.
