Senior Hydraulic Modeller

Location - Epsom and Snodland.

Due to a long-term relationship that AtkinsRéalis has with South East Water, we are seeking a Senior Clean Water Hydraulic Modeller to strengthen our existing team. The successful candidate will join our Network Solutions team to undertake the delivery of Hydraulic Modelling Services to this key client.

The candidate must have expertise in potable water network modelling be cable of working at a Senior Modeller level and to technical, programme and budget requirements.

Education and Professional Qualifications:

• Degree in Engineering / GIS or similar would be preferrable, although not essential.
• Chartered membership of an appropriate professional institution (CIWEM, MICE et al).

Essential Criteria:

• Functional experience with water modelling packages such as InfoWorks WS PRO.
• Use hydraulic models for planning and operational purposes.
• Working knowledge of GIS packages e.g. MapInfo and / or ArcGIS.
• Line and / or project management experience.

Experience in any of the following areas would also be advantageous:

• Development Impact Assessments.
• Modelling/network assessments to support DG2 investigations.
• Business Planning for UK water companies.
• Modelling support for emergency incident response.
• Management and co-ordination of field testing for model calibration.

Responsibilities of Role:

• Working in a team that supports all other departments across the client organisation.
• Technical report writing.
• Data analysis and anomaly identification.
• Be part of the Out of hour’s Standby Rota.
