Senior Project Manager in Healthcare Construction

How will you contribute to the team?

  • Perform non-manual field work that involves a combination of conventional and complex features, requiring the application of sound and diversified professional knowledge in board areas of assignments, usually including the coordination of various projects
  • Monitoring design professionals’ substantial compliance with contract and special provisions and determining project quality, cost, and adherence to established completion schedule
  • Monitoring contractors' substantial compliance with contract, plans, specifications and special provisions and determining project quality, cost, and adherence to established completion schedule
  • Plan, organize, and direct activities concerned with the design, construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems
  • Confer with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, and design professionals to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints and construction problems
  • Provide recommendations to owner of actions necessary to achieve approved construction schedules and budgets, adherence to design standards and guidelines, and resolution of complaints and project problems
  • Assist with project delivery strategies
  • Schedule the project in logical steps and budgets time required to meet deadlines
  • Assist owner in management of project procurement, selection of contractors and assists with contract paperwork and management of changes
  • Manage QA/QC quality control plans
  • Supervise the building permit process and compliance with codes
  • Attend weekly construction meetings
  • Prepare daily/weekly/monthly progress reports
  • Review design professional and contractor applications for payment and recommends payment to client
  • Create and monitors cost reports for the client
  • Manage punch list preparation and project close-out
  • Perform such other duties as the Supervisor may from time to time deem necessary

What will you contribute?

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field and ten years related experience OR associate‘s degree and 18  years’ of experience in lieu of a degree. Without a degree, twenty years related experience is required
  • 10 years’ relevant experience with Healthcare Design and Construction
  • Heavy MEP experience preferred
  • 10-hour training in OSHA safety requirements a plus
  • Must be highly articulate, have clear and analytical approach to problem solving, and strong decision-making abilities.  Must have excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Leadership and managerial skills; analytical and organization skills; ability to supervise field representatives and field office personnel
  • Must have ability to navigate Web-based construction management software (often provided by the client)
  • Must have experience with setting meetings, organizing agendas, and keeping minutes for projects records
  • Must thoroughly understand and utilize Information Technology in the performance of work including Internet, Intranet, Microsoft Windows OS, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project
  • Working knowledge of industry standard software, including but not limited, Planning & Scheduling, and cost management applications. Experience with Primavera P6 or Microsoft Projects is preferred
