Job Description:

Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Assist in project planning, scheduling, and coordination to ensure timely completion of construction activities.
  • Construction Supervision: Supervise construction activities on-site, ensuring compliance with design specifications, codes, and quality standards.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical guidance and support to the construction team, subcontractors, and suppliers to resolve any technical issues or conflicts that may arise during construction.
  • Quantity Surveying: Assist in quantity take-offs, material procurement, and cost estimation.
  • Quality Control: Monitor and inspect construction work to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications.
  • Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with local regulations and industry standards to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including drawings, reports, daily logs, and progress updates.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate and communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, consultants, and subcontractors.
  • Problem-solving: Identify and resolve construction-related problems or conflicts that may arise during the project.
  • Site Coordination: Coordinate with various teams on-site, such as the construction team, subcontractors, and suppliers, to ensure smooth workflow and efficient project execution.

Qualifications:

  • Education: A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is typically required. Some organizations may accept an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques. Familiarity with relevant codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Experience: Previous experience in construction or site engineering is preferred, but entry-level positions may be available for recent graduates.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders and communicate technical information clearly.
  • Problem-solving Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address construction-related challenges. Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in construction documentation and quality control.
  • Organizational Skills: Effective time management and organizational abilities to handle multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.
  • Computer Proficiency: Proficiency in using construction-related software, computer-aided design (CAD) tools, and project management software.
