Supporting the well-being of our people and creating a healthy workplace is a key pillar of our UK & Europe people strategy. We’re committed to creating a work environment where it’s ok to talk about your mental health.
Shortly after starting working at SNC-Lavalin, Nuri was invited to join a group of people from all different departments that were working out in the building during lunchtime. It was a great idea, and every week they’d meet and work out together, we’d either do aerobics, or just do some stairs or go for walks together.
We catch up with one of our Mental Health First Aiders for her perspective on wellbeing at the office. It’s been more than a year since we started our Mental Health First Aider (MHFA) pilot. To mark Mental Health Awareness Week, we spoke to Heather, principal engineer, about her experience as one of these first aiders. Read on to see how our programme is helping us embrace the subject of mental wellbeing and offering valuable support.
